About Us

I was raised in Bhairahawa,

while Samuel’s roots were firmly planted in the soil of the Timai camp in Nepal. Our shared passion for seeing Nepal thrive and prosper united us in an unbreakable friendship.

However, our journey led us away from our homeland, far from the familiar streets and warm embraces of our loved ones. Our hearts remained tethered to Nepal despite the distance, leaving behind an indescribable void that no experience or place could fill.

The ache of being separated from our friends and family became all too apparent when we yearned to send them tokens of love or assist them with essential services from afar. This struggle resonated deeply within us, echoing a sentiment shared by many others in the diaspora—feeling helpless and disconnected when wanting to support our dear ones back home.

It was from this place of empathy and understanding that the seeds of an idea were sown. Fueled by our personal experiences and the collective yearning of the Nepali diaspora, the concept of “Ghar” was born.

Ghar emerged with a clear purpose: to bridge the geographical gap and make it easier for Nepalis living abroad to send products and access services for their cherished friends and family back home. Our vision was to transform the longing for connectivity into a tangible means of connection, ensuring that distance would no longer hinder the expression of love and support.

With unwavering determination, we embarked on a journey to build a platform that would serve as a conduit for love, care, and support between the Nepali diaspora and their loved ones in Nepal. Ghar became more than just a business—it became a beacon of hope, a symbol of unity, and a lifeline connecting hearts across borders.

Through Ghar, we aimed to curate a seamless experience, providing a range of products and services tailored to meet the diverse needs and desires of those wanting to connect with their roots. Our mission was to bring smiles, alleviate distance challenges, and create a sense of belonging despite being oceans apart.

As founders of Ghar, our passion for our homeland continues to drive us. We envision a Nepal where the ties that bind us transcend boundaries, where distance is no longer a barrier to expressing love and care for our families and friends.
Together, we strive to make Ghar a testament to the unwavering love for Nepal and a conduit through which the diaspora can weave the fabric of connection, strengthening the bond that unites us all—our love for our homeland.
